How long do microgreens last?

Cut microgreens keep about five to seven days in a sealed container in the fridge, and they are best in the first three. A living tray is different: it has no shelf life, only a harvest window. Kept on a counter with a little water, it keeps producing for one to two weeks.

Can I buy at a farmers market instead?

Yes. Five days a week, these are the places to find us.

Do you sell microgreens to Charleston restaurants?

Yes. Chefs order standing weekly volumes cut to spec, and living trays for pass-side garnish that never wilts. Because we grow on Johns Island rather than shipping in, greens can be cut the morning of service. Email Derick@themicrogreensfarm.com to talk volumes, varieties and a standing order.

One more thing worth knowing

We are a working farm, not a shop — there is no storefront to walk into. Everything moves through subscriptions, the pickup points above, farmers markets and restaurant accounts.
