What kale microgreens taste like

Kale microgreens are mild, faintly sweet and a little earthy, with none of the toughness or bitterness of mature kale. The leaf holds its shape better than most, which makes it the brassica to reach for when the food is hot.

Questions about kale

Do kale microgreens taste like kale?

Like a milder, sweeter version. The bitterness and the chew people associate with mature kale develop later, so what you get is the green, mineral flavour without the work of massaging a salad.

Can I cook kale microgreens?

Briefly. They are sturdier than most microgreens but they will still collapse in a hot pan given more than a few seconds. Add them off the heat, or at the very end.
