What cantaloupe melon microgreens taste like

Thick paired leaves with a cool, faintly sweet flavour that reads as somewhere between cucumber and melon rind. It is the variety people do not expect and the one chefs get most interested in, because there is nothing else that tastes like it at this size.

Questions about cantaloupe melon

Does it actually taste like cantaloupe?

Not like the ripe fruit. It tastes cool and green and faintly sweet, closer to the flesh near the rind than the middle of the melon. The flavour is subtle, so put it somewhere it will be noticed rather than burying it.

Is cantaloupe microgreen always available?

It is on the rotation but it is not a high-volume variety, so availability moves week to week. Text 843.212.6932 or ask at market if you specifically want it and we will seed a tray toward your delivery.
